Uniclic locking floors provide many advantages related to ease of installation. But an often overlooked benefit is the ability to disassemble and reinstall. Many Uniclic floors can be taken apart and moved into another room or location. You do need to take into account that the room that you move the flooring to must be smaller than the original room, and not all planks will be usable after they are disassembled. Aside from these caveats, it is a fairly strait forward process. This is not the case with glued or nailed floors which are typically destroyed when they are removed from the subloor.
If you are at the end of your life cycle with your Uniclic flooring, you can take it apart and donate it to a Habitat For Humanity ReStore and give someone the opportunity to have beautiful flooring that they otherwise could not afford. This is an environmentally- and socially-responsible way to keep good, reusable materials out of landfills. This is recycling in the truest sense.
