End Cap and Square Nose trims are essential moldings used to terminate the edge of a floating floor where it meets a vertical surface. They protect the exposed flooring edge, provide a clean, professional appearance, and maintain the required expansion gap.
These trims are necessary whenever your floor stops rather than connecting to another flooring material.
An End Cap (often called a Baby Threshold) features a lip edge that overlaps the floor and an opposing flat vertical edge that rests against the vertical surface. This design effectively hides the expansion gap without pinning down the floating floor.

Installation Notes

- Never nail or glue down the floating floor itself.
- Aesthetics: Dry-fit the molding before fastening, and miter corners carefully when joining perpendicular edges.
