It is our aim to continue to have a high ratio of North American hardwood and laminate flooring because we believe in strengthening American workers, American companies and the American economy. The abundance of North American hardwood contributed to the rise of hardwood flooring during the Colonial Era making hardwood floors part of American culture and history. Hand scraped / distressed hardwood flooring has been hot and growing for around a decade. This look is original American dating back to post Colonial Era when solid pieces of wood were nailed to the ground adjacent to each and than leveled by planing and sanding.
What's more, many flooring design trends tend to originate in the USA and migrate to other countries. The USA has a decided edge in styling and design which we believe to be clearly evident when compared to many laminate and hardwood imports.
