Texture & Character

Rare Vintage, (also known as Rustic Legacy, Rustic Manor, Rustic Vision) does an incredible job of capturing the look of reclaimed wood flooring. The design is the perfect candidate to showcase Mohawk’s Embossed in Register (EIR) technology - the texture of the surface follows the relief and grain of the wood image. Each pockmark, knot, wormhole, mineral streak and sawmark that is visible can also be felt! This three-dimensional effect along with its warm tones, worn-in look and weathered character equates to a true representation of classic distressed hardwood floors.

Pronounced Beveled Edges

The milled bevel edges are pronounced and delineate each plank in a prominent manner which adds to the reclaimed appearance. This laminate is a remarkably true representation of the real thing, capturing all the character and charm of age with its authentic distressed surface. Even the pores and cracks that are so much a part of wood are imitated in a way that cannot be ignored.

Waterproof Protection

As part of the RevWood Select collection, Rare Vintage has a Waterproof Warranty and can be damp mopped! The first component is the Uniclic locking system. The joints are milled to such extremely small tolerances, the result is an incredibly tight joint which prevents water from seeping through from above. The perimeter surfaces are coated with HydroSeal - working together with Uniclic to trap liquid on the surface. Hydroseal is a hydrophobic coating applied around the perimeter of the click profile and is an integral part of the RevWood Select waterproof system.
